2024 Robert Whitby Turbo Award Winner

We are thrilled to announce Generation S.O.S. as the winner of the 2024 Robert Whitby Turbo Award, sponsored by DR Bank and the HBS Club of Connecticut Community Partners! The Turbo Award is meant to provide a funding catalyst for a program that helps the nonprofit organization advance its mission. Generation S.O.S. is being recognized for their incredible work in empowering young people through honest conversations about mental health and substance abuse prevention.

Congratulations are also for the Fairfield Museum and History Center, our runner-up, which will receive a special recognition prize for their inspiring contributions to preserving and sharing local history.

These efforts will help S.O.S. to create the Video Library Program featuring teen and young adult speakers of all socioeconomic backgrounds from across the country, who will share their stories of how they struggled with and overcame serious mental health issues. As well as providing Fairfield Museum and History Center with the opportunity to provide free hands-on educational field trips for Bridgeport students grades 6-8.
